- Full electrical safety walkthrough — identify overloaded circuits, faulty outlets, and fire risks

- Inspect and tighten all door hardware, handles, and cabinet pulls
- Remove any identified tripping hazards (loose carpet edges, threshold lips)
- Install lever-style door handle on main bathroom door if current handle is round knob (1 door included)

What’s included:
Plumbing (ExpressRooter):
- Full plumbing safety inspection — check for slow drains, leaks under sinks, water heater temperature (scalding risk)
- Adjust water heater temperature to safe senior range (120°F / 49°C max)
- Check anti-scald feature valve on shower valve if present
- Inspect and test backwater valve (or recommend installation if absent)
- Check all toilet stability — tighten or replace any loose toilet bases
Electrical (Power Squad):
- Everything in Package 1 electrical, plus
- Install up to 5 nightlight outlets throughout the home
- Install smart doorbell with video (device included) — allows family to monitor remotely

One-Time Installation Phase (completed within 5 business days):
Full Bathroom Conversion:
- ExpressRooter: Install handheld shower head with extended hose, install comfort-height toilet if current toilet is below 17", check and adjust all water temperatures
- Supply and install 1 bidet
- Supply and Install Anti-scald valve on hot water tank
- Me & My Van: Install full grab bar system (minimum 4 bars — shower entry, shower wall, toilet side, toilet back), install fold-down shower bench if space allows, replace all round knobs with lever handles in bathroom, install non-slip flooring strips in tub/shower
- Remove and reset 2 toilets
- Power Squad: Install exhaust fan with humidity sensor (prevents falls from steam-slicked floors), install additional outlet at counter height for medical devices, install motion-activated nightlight on bathroom circuit
Whole-Home Safety Upgrade:
- Me & My Van: Replace all interior door knobs with lever handles (up to 8 doors), install stair handrails on all staircases (up to 2 staircases), install non-slip treads on all interior stairs, secure all loose rugs and carpet edges, install door threshold ramps where needed (up to 3 thresholds)
- Power Squad: Install motion-sensor lighting in hallway, staircase, and exterior entry, install smart video doorbell, upgrade to smart thermostat (reduces need to navigate stairs to adjust temperature), full GFCI and AFCI audit and upgrade throughout home
- ExpressRooter: Full plumbing safety inspection, install anti-scald protection on all hot water fixtures, test and service or install backwater valve, inspect all accessible pipes for vulnerability
Technology & Monitoring Add-On:
- Installation of up to 3 Amazon Echo Dots or Google Nest speakers positioned in bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom — enabling voice-activated calling, reminders, and smart home control without needing to navigate a phone (device cost included)
- Smart lock installation on front door — enables family to provide remote access without key management issues (device included)

Summer Visit — Comfort & Air Quality
- Me & My Van: Replace furnace filter, clean dryer vent, inspect window screens, caulk any gaps around windows/doors

Fall Visit — Winter Prep & Safety
- ExpressRooter: Inspect and flush water heater, check for any pipe vulnerability in cold areas
- Me & My Van: Weatherstrip doors and windows, install or check attic hatch insulation, check garage door operation
- Power Squad: Test smoke and CO detectors, replace batteries throughout, check heating system connections

- Late fall winterize hose bibs (turn off isolation valve and drain line)
